The
central room is spacious.
There is a ceiling fan, and the couch pulls out to a bed. There is
a CD / Tape player / radio in this room. A VCR/DVD is available on
request. Board games & books fill the bookshelf. |
There
is full kitchen, complete with a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven,
coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, & blender. The table can
seat 6. |
One
of the 3 rooms is a twin room. Another has a full bed.
These 2 rooms sit on one wing of the building and share a complete
bathroom with a tub & shower.

This
is the "master bedroom", with a closet, chest of drawers,
chaise, rocking chair, and its own full bathroom including tub &
shower combo. The bed is a queen size. This is on the other wing of
the building. |
| Not
shown: All bedrooms come with sheets, towels, extra blankets &
extra pillows. There is a laundry room on site. There is a enclosed
back porch which has a dog door leading out to a chain-link kennel
space. This allows Rover access to a covered shelter when you are
out & about. |

| The
Long Lodge has ample space to camp on, explore across the road to
the Battenkill, or meander into the State Forest which lines the back
edge of the property. There are many uses for this great, simple space
such as: |

wedding activities are scheduled for this summer. The grass will be
adorned with brilliant white tents. Guests can relax with the summer
bounty of green grass and fresh flowers. BVO offers ice breaker opportunities
to keep guests occupied and entertained with
a float trip on the Battenkill, bicycle rentals to discover the back
country roads, or options with hiking. Both of these events will offer
overnight camping to those who celebrate but choose not drive.

Troop 23 from Burlington, CT has made the Battenkill a destination
with us for 4 years. The leaders sleep restfully in the Long Lodge,
and the boys camp on the grounds. The pavilion offers a regrouping
structure for meals & activities. They spend 2 days on the river,
learning skills, team building, & camping out. |
